Apple Multiple Scan 15 Display, PowerBook 150 and Quadra 630

Apple Inc. has sold a variety of LCD and CRT computer displays since introducing their first display in 1980. Apple paused production of their own standalone displays in 2016 and partnered with LG to design displays for Macs. In June 2019, the Pro Display XDR was introduced, however it was expensive and targeted for professionals. In March 2022, the Studio Display was launched as a consumer-targeted counterpart. These are currently the only Apple-branded displays available.

The PowerBook 150 is a laptop computer manufactured by Acer for Apple Computer and sold from 1994 to 1995. It was positioned as an entry-level model in the PowerBook line, as a direct successor to the PowerBook 145B. Its launch price of US$1,450 (equivalent to $3,150 in 2025) was the cheapest for a PowerBook up to that point. It was positioned below the subcompact PowerBook Duo series and the high-end PowerBook 500 series. Apple targeted it at first-time notebook customers, students, and small office and home office workers.

The notebook features a 33 MHz Motorola 68030 processor and a monochrome passive-matrix LCD as its only display option. Despite retaining the outer case design of the PowerBook 100 series, the PowerBook 150's internal design borrows heavily from the PowerBook Duo line; its logic board is a slightly modified version of the Duo 230's, and it uses nearly identical memory modules. Lacking many of the peripheral ports of its predecessors, it was incapable of using Apple Desktop Bus devices, nor did it support video output. It was the first Macintosh to use the IDE interface for hard drives rather than the SCSI interface of its predecessors. It was both the last PowerBook to use the classic 100 series case design and trackball and the last Macintosh to use the 68030.
